CE-ing Bold Perspectives: Reinforcing Civil Engineering through Photography
Theme
This year’s theme, “CE-ing Bold Perspectives: Reinforcing Civil Engineering through Photography” challenges every participant to give their best creative shot of Civil Engineering in Philippines using their cameras. This year’s theme acknowledges the rampant civil engineering structures in the country and highlighting them through photos.
Registration
There is no fee in joining.
The contest is open to all duly enrolled College Students nationwide: amateurs, enthusiasts and professionals alike.
Subject
Scenes including, but not limited to bridges, buildings, towers, dams, slope protection, construction site, reservoirs, pipes, ports, road pavement, tollways/expressways, railways, airports, etc. Must contain any creatively shot civil engineering structure and need not to have human element in it. Must be shot in the Philippines. Other elements may be included but there must be a CE structure incorporated within. Interpret and work the theme, manipulate the subject to your own advantage.
Caption
Caption should be brief, concise, creative and sensibly consistent with the
photo's message. Should only be a phrase or a sentence in maximum.
Entries

<!--[if !supportLists]-->· <!--[endif]-->Photos should be in TIFF or largest setting JPEG file format shot using a 4+ megapixel digital camera.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->· <!--[endif]-->Manipulations with the camera are allowed, e.g., long and multiple exposures. Filtrations are also allowed. Minor digital retouching is tolerated for adjustments on density, contrast, compositional cropping, burning, and dodging and global adjustments.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->· <!--[endif]-->Major manipulation of main images via the addition or subtraction of images and heavy colorations are not allowed.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->· <!--[endif]-->Photos should be submitted on or before the date specified
<!--[if !supportLists]-->· <!--[endif]-->All entries are to be displayed in a week-long exhibit in the College of Engineering on the date specified
Submission
>Submit the entry file (photo contest entry) on or before the date specified.
>Entries can be submitted either through the online form or by delivering a
CD containing the entry to the UP Aggregates Inc. Tambayan.

CD Entries
Entry should be submitted to the UP Aggregates Inc. Tambayan
located at 1st Floor Melchor Hall, UP Diliman, Quezon City (near the
elevator).
Entry should contain the following details:
Name, Address, Contact No., E-mail Address, School/University, Region.
Entry file (the photo) should have more than one copy in the CD in the
event of file corruption.

30% Creativity
30% Relevance to the Theme
20% Originality
20% Caption Content
Retention and Retrieval
All contest materials (soft copies and entries of winning participants) will
be of Aggregates' property. The organization has the full rights for publication and
reproduction of the entries that will best serve the purpose of the organization.
Winning entries will also be used as promotional materials by the UP Diliman
Civil Engineering Department.
Entries of non-winning participants can be retrieved by claiming it in the
UP Aggregates Inc. Tambayan. Failure to claim entries within a month after the
exhibit will give full authority for the organization to dispose the entries in any
means. The name of the photographer will be included in the entry when used as
a promotional material or when used for any other purposes.
